Raised Queenslanders. Most of Ascot’s houses date from the interwar years, and most were built in the Queenslander style on large blocks. In a raised home the hot water system is often under the house, so we check the access and the pipework run as well as the tank.

Not usually. Under-house systems are common in raised Queenslanders. We check there’s safe access and that the pipework and valves are in good shape, as well as the tank itself.

In Queensland a temperature control device must be fitted to all new and replacement hot water systems, so hot water reaches the taps at no more than 50°C. We include it in the replacement price.
