Signs It’s Time to Call a Plumber
Small warning signs often come before a blocked drain overflows:
Water draining slowly from the sink, shower or bath
A gurgle from the toilet when the basin drains
A toilet that needs two flushes or blocks regularly
Sewer smells in the bathroom, laundry or yard
Downpipes spilling over, or water pooling after rain
If more than one fixture is affected, the blockage is likely in the main line.
Kangaroo Point: Towers at the Tip, Houses at the South End
High-rise towards the tip. The northern end of the peninsula is mostly high-rise apartments, and about 87% of the suburb’s occupied dwellings were flats or apartments at the 2021 Census. In a tall block, one blockage in a shared stack can affect every unit above it, so we work with building managers and body corporates.
From shipyards to Dockside. The riverside industrial sites on the eastern side, once slipways and engineering works, have been redeveloped for high-rise apartments in the locality known as Dockside. Basement car parks and plant rooms in these buildings rely on drains and pits that flow freely.
Older homes in the south. The southern end of the suburb is mostly low and medium-density apartments and Queenslander-style houses. Beneath those older houses, ageing sewer joints are an easy target for tree roots.

The basement car park floods in heavy rain. Can you help?
Yes. We clear the pits and stormwater lines that serve the car park and check them with a camera. Anything beyond a clean-out, such as a damaged pipe, is explained and priced as a separate item.
